I never really used to enjoy taking shots of people (other than a few quite beautiful candid shots)… Instead, I found peace & great pleasure in taking photos of beautiful landscapes, textured surfaces and beautifully hidden tidbits of eye candy that often went unnoticed by the majority. So, like so many photographers, my early work was predictably urban, artsy, often gritty and just a montage of life through my eyes as I saw it everyday…

 

However, I've always loved the arts; from drawing and painting to sculpting and of course, my absolute favorite - taking photos!

Although people find it hard to believe, as a young girl I was quiet and shy on the outside, but my eyes, ears & thoughts were all over the place, taking count of everything - which apparently - is quite useful in the creative field.

 

After having my beautiful son in 2009, and, like many a mother before me, I took to taking photos of everything my child ever did (We're all guilty of that nowadays, surely), but I soon ended up taking more & more photos of people as time went on; starting from family functions, to friend's weddings, baptisms and all kinds of events!

 

It still catches me by surprise just how much I love taking photos of people now — easily on par with my love of wildlife & landscape photography. I just enjoy capturing the beauty in everyday life, nothing more, nothing less! I am super grateful to be able to connect with people from around the world... Laugh, joke, be active & silly whilst we take your perfect shots, I encourage all my clients to be themselves and enjoy the experience! Sharing in your creation of unforgettable memories is an absolute pleasure to share in & especially to be able to capture those moments for you forevermore! 

 

I'd describe my style as photo-journalistic, I prefer to capture raw moments as they happen with a little guidance to get you the best shots! Every client captures their perfect shot when they least expect it - when they’re truly being their unrehearsed, irrevocably beautiful and often silly selves.  I don’t wish to argue that posed photos don’t have a time and a place, it’s just that for me; I find my joy in catching moments that really capture those special little details that make a person special.
